Troubleshooting
Fixes for common DIXY problems: Java version, 401 errors, database ports, native library errors.
Java not found / wrong version
java -version must report 21. Install JDK 21 and add it to your PATH.
401 Unauthorized
Add the API key header. If you changed it with -Dsecurity.api-key, use that value.
Cannot connect to PostgreSQL
Compose publishes PostgreSQL on 5434. The optional local profile uses 5433 — don't activate it against the Compose database.
Port 8081 in use
bash
PORT=8090 java -Dspring.profiles.active=web -jar build/libs/virtual_deadlock_detection-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jarUnsatisfiedLinkError / "Native lib not found"
The bundled native library exists only for Linux x86-64 and Windows x86-64. Rebuild it with CMake for other platforms.
Agent runs but nothing shows up
- Is the backend running in web mode?
- Did you pass
serverUrl=http://localhost:8081? The agent's default is 8080. - Does
apiKeymatch the backend's key?
Where are the logs?
The console stays quiet; logs go to logs/vdd.log in the directory you started DIXY from.
